Business Creation

Bringing Technologies Into the Market

As a scientist at Technische Universität München you are working on a technology with the potential to establish a business enterprise? In that case we offer you the opportunity to discuss the market potentials of your scientific findings. Within 1-2 days, this may lead to a rough concept of the technology required providing initial indications of possible applications, target groups, markets and financing options.

First Start-Up Project

Starting with the technological concept developed in this way, you decide whether and to what extent you would like to enter into a start-up project. Depending on the activity you are considering and your personal views, our network can help you set up an initial start-up team made up, say, of students wishing to conduct a start-up project outside of or in the context of their studies. Typical highlights of such a project lasting several weeks or a few months are the examination of patents, the development of specific applications, the compilation of an initial prototype for communication, and enquiries conducted with potential pilot customers.

Establishing a Start-Up Team

Proceeding from the results gained in the start-up project, you have a good starting point for deciding whether you would really like to establish a business enterprise. If so, we will accompany you in handling the challenge of winning over experts in the industry as well as colleagues with experience in business as members of your team. Apart from supplementing your team in this manner, the preparations required for establishing an enterprise also include financing and the development of an initial function prototype.

You want to find out whether your technology is suitable for founding an enterprise? In that case talk to Andreas Unseld or Mark Möbius.
