Identifying possible applications for your technology
and developing an understanding of the market
Identifying and evaluating market opportunities -
this is the first step for scientists looking to turn their
technologies into successful products and services. This
workshop supports TUM scientists in developing a basic
understanding of possible applications and practical uses of
their technologies.
Scientists assess the perspectives for their technology
by considering:
- How can I recognise possible applications
for my technology?
- How can I work out what benefits it would bring
the customer?
- How can I devise a business model?
- How can I present my findings briefly and
succinctly?
Aimed at scientists and research teams from all subject
areas, these workshops last three hours and have a maximum of 10
participants. They consist largely of group-work, with
participants working on their own technology or on concrete
sample technologies.
