Impact First is my Key Driver. With Zarah Bruhn, Co-Founder & CEO, Social-Bee
Zarah Bruhn is the rising star of Germany‘s social entrepreneurship scene. The award-winning founder and CEO of Social-Bee is Ashoka Fellow and was recently chosen among Capital magazine’s Top40under40. Zarah is passionate about social innovation, purpose economy and diversity, spreading her message through TED talks, keynotes at major conferences like Bits&Pretzels or exclusive C-Level events. In 2015, she recognized the need for sustainable integration assistance for refugees – to act beyond first aid measures. This meant, making it easier for refugees to enter the labour market and to support companies in their employment and integration. To this end, she revolutionized the model of temporary work in a social way, as an intermediary employer who takes care of the refugees and carries the risks until permanent employment. Zarah majored in business & technology, earning her Master’s degree at the Technical University of Munich (TUM). During her career in start-ups and cleantech venture capital, she was particularly fascinated by how entrepreneurial approaches can be used to meet social challenges. As a female founder she strives to empower other women for entrepreneurship. Her aim lies in the connection of two worlds, the economy and the social sector: How to succeed in the sustainable transformation of business models and value chains?
