Not a panel. Not a pitch competition. Just an honest evening with hands-on building, real stories from women who've been there and networking with likeminded people. Free to attend.
Most women in tech are never told that building something of their own is an option. Not explicitly, at least. The message they get in lecture halls, in career fairs, in the career paths laid out in front of them is: graduate, get hired, do good work.
But some of them have a quiet feeling that there might be more. A problem they keep thinking about. A project they've been sketching in the margins. An idea they haven't said out loud yet because they're not sure it counts.
This evening is for them.
Women Who Build is a free event co-hosted by UnternehmerTUM and Women in CS @ TUM, bringing together women who are curious about what it looks like to create something, a startup, a product, a community, anything; and who want to be in a room with others who are figuring it out too.
What to expect
The evening starts with a hands-on mini workshop, practical, not theoretical. You'll leave with a concrete skill or framework you can actually use.
Then we hear from women who already started building. Engineers, not just business students. People who didn't have it all figured out when they began and who'll tell you honestly what that was like.
The evening closes with open networking: good conversations with people who showed up for the same reason you did.
Who is this for?
Any woman who has ever thought "maybe someday" about building something and hasn't found the right moment yet. You don't need a startup idea. You don't need prior experience. You just need to be curious.
