The MSC Startup Hub will take place on Friday and Saturday, February 13–14 2026. In walking distance from the Bayerischer Hof, at the Munich Chamber of Commerce (IHK München), we are introducing a new dedicated platform.
As Europe’s Leading Startup Hub and Innovation Center, we gather a curated selection of top speakers and guests. High-level thought leaders from politics, industry, academia, and the international deep tech and startup ecosystem will shed light on technologies shaping global independence.
Our two days program features eleven sessions, and a series of exclusive roundtable talks on the key topics such as autonomous systems, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, energy security, health and biotechnology, critical raw materials, New Space, and semiconductors.
By launching the MSC Startup Hub, UnternehmerTUM and TUM Venture Labs are bringing together todays’ crucial ingredients; transatlantic forces are uniquely pooled to promote independence, resilience, and long-term competitiveness worldwide.
Accredited guests of the MSC are cordially invited to participate in the MSC Startup Hub. Please bring your badge with you.

Speakers

Francesco Sciortino
CEO and co-founder of Proxima Fusion
Francesco has spent nearly a decade working at the cutting edge of fusion, spanning groundbreaking work on tokamaks during his PhD in plasma physics and fusion energy at MIT and later at the Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics (IPP), where he also acted as one of the European coordinators for tokamak research. It was at IPP that Francesco progressively shifted his focus from tokamaks to stellarators, recognizing breakthroughs in stellarator research in 2022 and defining a new path to faster commercialization of fusion energy.

Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg
Europe needs technological sovereignty — one of the central drivers of our economic strength and societal progress. To secure its future, Europe must become digitally more independent, invest boldly, and advance innovation with clear strategic intent

Peter Leibinger
"Germany’s industrial strength will increasingly be defined by how fast we translate DeepTech innovation into strategic capability. The MSC Startup Hub aligns startups, industry, and political leaders to turn innovation into real capacity - at speed and at scale."
