For the very first time, the world’s leading forum for security policy comes along with a dedicated stage for technology and innovation: The MSC Startup Hub.
As official MSC partners, UnternehmerTUM and TUM Venture Labs welcome global decision-makers and leading innovators, together with cutting-edge start-ups, to address technological solutions for the geopolitical challenges in these pivotal times.
The MSC Startup Hub will take place on Saturday, February 14, 2026. In walking distance from the Bayerischer Hof, and with kind support of IHK München and Oberbayern, we are introducing a new platform.
In our concept of Europe’s Leading Startup Hub and Innovation Center, we gather a curated selection of top speakers and guests. High-level thought leaders from politics, industry, academia, and the international deep tech and startup ecosystem will shed light on technologies shaping global independence.
Our two days program features ten sessions, and a series of exclusive roundtable talks on the key topics such as autonomous systems, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, energy security, health and biotechnology, critical raw materials, New Space, and semiconductors.
By launching the MSC Startup Hub, UnternehmerTUM and TUM Venture Labs are bringing together todays’ crucial ingredients; transatlantic forces are uniquely pooled to promote independence, resilience, and long-term competitiveness worldwide.

Already part of the very first MSC Startup Hub ...

Francesco Sciortino
Co-Founder and CEO of the European fusion energy startup Proxima Fusion
“The MSC Startup Hub creates a necessary space where security, technology, and entrepreneurship meet at eye level. At a time of accelerating geopolitical competition and technological disruption, Europe’s ability to translate scientific excellence into scalable industrial solutions is becoming a core security issue. Bringing policymakers and founders together in this setting helps ensure that innovation is not an afterthought of security policy, but one of its central pillars.”

Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg
German politician, entrepreneur, and advisor
“Europe needs technological sovereignty — one of the central drivers of our economic strength and societal progress. To secure its future, Europe must become digitally more independent, invest boldly, and advance innovation with clear strategic intent.”

Peter Leibinger
President of the Federation of German Industries (BDI)
"Germany’s industrial strength will increasingly be defined by how fast we translate DeepTech innovation into strategic capability. The MSC Startup Hub aligns startups, industry, and political leaders to turn innovation into real capacity - at speed and at scale."
