The Women Start-up Empowerment Training Series 2025 is an offer for female students, doctoral candidates, (future) female founders and young professionals.
We offer various trainings from six different categories and you can take part in as many trainings as you want.
All trainings are free of charge - thanks to our partners and sponsors - and are conducted by our UnternehmerTUM trainers.

Laser Cutter for Beginners (ENGLISH): Learn the basics of laser cutting!
April 2, 2025 from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m.
The laser cutter is a versatile tool for cutting, engraving and marking various materials including plastics, glass, metal (only engraving of glass and metal) and natural products such as wood, MDF, cardboard or leather. With the Adobe Illustrator graphic software laser cutting of complicated designs and laser engraving of detailed images are taken over by the machine at the touch of a button.
In this safety and basic function course you will learn the safe operation of the Epilog laser cutter FusionPro 32.
At the end of the course you can take home your self-cut and personalized holder for your mobile phone.

3D Printing for Beginners (FDM) (ENGLISH): From the virtual to the real model – learn 3D printing!
April 2, 2025 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Thanks to the 3D printing technology the completion of a physical object based on a computer model is simplified. It is the fastest and most economical way to produce small parts before more complex production measures such as CNC milling or injection molding have to be used.
In this safety and basic functions course you will learn how to import 3D files into Cura, modify them and then print them using the Ultimaker 2+ or Ultimaker 2 Extended +. You will learn all the necessary information and knowledge that will enable you to operate the machines with all 3D printing requirements.
What you can do after the 3D printing beginner course:
- Use the Ultimaker 3D printers at MakerSpace
- Prepare your own 3D models or 3D parts downloaded from the internet using the Ultimaker Cura software
- Print 3D models with the filaments PLA and TPU 95A
- Use the possibilities of 3D printing technology for the implementation of your ideas in model construction, design, for spare parts, etc.
