Christian Schenk, Chief Financial Officer, MAN Truck & Bus SE
Christian Schenk was born on August 20, 1973, in Wolfenbüttel, Germany. Having completed a degree in economics at University of Göttingen, Christian Schenk began his professional career in 1999, when he joined Volkswagen AG in Wolfsburg. Schenk was Internal Audit Director at Europcar International in France from 2003 to 2006 before moving to VW Group UK in Milton Keynes. Having initially worked as a financial controller, he became Head of Central Finance in 2008, a role he held until 2009.
Christian Schenk returned to Wolfsburg in 2009, assuming leading positions in the Earnings and Financing (2009-2012) and Overall Financial Planning (2012-2016) departments of the Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand. He headed the Controlling area of the VW Passenger Cars brand between 2016 and 2019. Christian Schenk has been Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of MAN SE and member of the Executive Board for Finance, IT, and Legal at MAN Truck & Bus SE since October 2019.
