This is the mandate Amsterdam has been pursuing successfully for years and which has made it to one of the early adopters of the smart city concept in Europe. Covering all relevant fields of action from sustainable urban mobility, integrated infrastructure and open data to knowledge sharing, citizen engagement and startup incentives Amsterdam has become a model smart city for the rest of the world.

This edition of the International Entrepreneurs’ Night sheds some light on Amsterdam’s smart city developments and looks at what Munich can learn from the Dutch capital and vice versa. Join us for this German-Dutch summer evening when we discuss how to create cities that we truly love to live in and listen to startup pitches from our partner ACE Amsterdam Center for Entrepreneurship.

THINK. MAKE. START. is a two week course hosted by TUM’s Lab for Product Development and Lightweight Design, designed to foster innovation giving students the chance to work on real world problems, exploring the potential of new technologies or challenges by developing new solutions.

Our goal is to promote innovation and facilitate the creation of new spin-outs at TUM.

In the area of innovation and creativity, this course in the field of applied innovation student teams from different backgrounds have the chance to develop an innovative solution for real-world problems using a Design Thinking approach. We give them free access to prototyping facilities, money to purchase components, support from Product and Business Development professionals, lectures and keynotes on entrepreneurship.

TMS has a focus on products/services, involving hardware equipment, sensors, devices, enhanced by software, connectivity and data.

50 students | All Faculties | 10 days | 10 Prototypes
