Batteries are omnipresent, and a future without them is unimaginable. Tomorrow's mobility, work life, and communication depend on energy storage systems containing rare earth elements. At the same time, today's crises make clear that we have to become less reliant on global supply chains. Climate change also challenges us to lead our economy in circles. The start-up tozero, founded by Ksenija Milicevic Neumann and Sarah Fleischer, develops a recycling method that helps to drive this mission forward.
In the interview, Chief Executive Officer Sarah Fleischer and Chief Technology Officer Ksenija Milicevic Neumann share insights into their recycling process that separates raw materials of post-consumer batteries and makes them reusable again. They also tell us their motivation to enter the circular economy and have some tips for other founders.
