Business plan advanced seminar

Focus: business model, sales and finance

Develop your business concept, your prototype and business plan further with business design, hypotheses, tests, start-up knowledge, feedback and expert opinions!

Selected, ambitious and learning-avid teams will be given the opportunity to ask direct questions to experts with their own experience of business start-ups. They will receive regular feedback on their project from lecturers Dr Dominik Böhler and Chris Eberl and from business founders, particularly on the following subjects: business model, marketing, sales, financing, monetarisation and prototype.

  • Format

    Seminar

  • Duration

    Once a week, usually on Mondays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at UnternehmerTUM, Lichtenbergstr. 6, Garching.

  • Credit Points / module

    The awarding of ECTS varies in the different study programmes. For queries, please address your Student Secretariat or Examination Office. Module ID in TUMonline: WI100180

  • Kosten

    For students (matriculated at a German university) and PhD students (TUM), attendance is free of charge.

  • Target Group

    Students and academics from all faculties of the Technische Universität München who already have a business start-up idea and a start-up team (at least two persons). Attendance at the business-plan basic seminar is not a prior requirement. The business idea must already have been scrutinised for its market-viability.

  • Two-level application process
    1. A written application to seminare@unternehmertum.de until 5 Oct 2017, 12:00 p.m. The written application contains the following information:

    • Name of team
    • Description of your business idea on max. 2 pages (value proposition, customer segments, market, business model). Add a short overview of the number and results of your interviews with potential customers (B2B min. 5, B2C min. 20; no surveys!)
    • First name and surname of all team members, academic or professional background and expertise (in brief headings)
    • Did anyone from your team attend the business-plan basic seminar or a similar seminar?

  • Dr Dominik Böhler

    Dr Dominik Böhler is as manager Entrepreneurship & Tech Education responsible for the education of students and PhD students, as well as for lecturing. He holds a diploma in business administration, with a major in entrepreneurship, and a PhD in information systems.

  • Chris Eberl

    Chris Eberl is CEO and founder of an Internet startup. He has studied Electrical Engineering at TUM and has successfully completed the Executive MBA in Innovation & Business Creation of TUM. Working for eight years at an international software corporation he gained experience in B2B-Sales and Business Development Management. At UnternehmerTUM Chris Eberl is external Trainer and Coach for entrepreneurship.
