At the Munich Urban Colab, established companies, start-ups, the municipal administration and the Digital Hub Mobility work together to develop mobility concepts and innovations for the urban future. In the joint project "Future of eMobility", UnternehmerTUM, SAP, BMW, the start-up ChargeX, the Digital Product School and Digital Hub Mobility show how fruitful collaboration can be.

Right on time for the opening of the Munich Urban Colab, the project will be made tangible as a mobility concept of tomorrow in a dedicated showroom, the Future Mobility Space.

The Future Mobility Space gives shape to a cooperation and illustrates how established companies and start-ups can successfully work together and benefit from each other. The Munich Urban Colab offers everything to bring sustainable innovations to reality", says Annahita Esmailzadeh, Head of Innovation at SAP Munich.

Start-ups and established companies hand in hand

Two concrete use cases in the context of e-mobility are the focus: the digital application AMIMA, an innovative approach to competitively promote sustainable commuting behavior, which was developed in the Digital Product School. Its goal is to reduce the carbon footprint of commuting by encouraging employees to use environmentally friendly modes of transport. The app can be operated intuitively and integrated into fleet and mobility processes. Visitors to the Munich Urban Colab experience interactively how environmentally friendly commitment can be achieved and maintained.

In the second use case, the project partners address the question of what the urban charging infrastructure of tomorrow will look like as part of the citizen mobility co-innovation format initiated by the Digital Hub Mobility.

"Our citizen mobility format offers companies and start-ups the opportunity to develop and implement exciting new solutions very quickly and very straightforwardly and with great support from the city. The results are always surprising and very well received by the users!", emphasizes Kirstin Hegner, Managing Director Digital Hub Mobility.

The Munich Urban Colab offers an experimental platform for intelligent charging infrastructure. The E-Mobility Show Case demonstrates the possibilities of modern charging management. Together with the Digital Hub Mobility, BMW and ChargeX, SAP is exhibiting an charging optimization solution for electromobility in the Future Mobility Space, which can be tested directly.

Visitors are invited to experience the end-to-end vehicle charging process, from authentication and energy optimization to billing processes in the cloud solution, and also discover opportunities for private use and local energy optimization. "SAP is investing in electromobility as a key technology of the future. The exhibition shows innovative solutions for sustainable transportation of the future and how this can be experienced by everyone", adds Ulrich Scholl, VP New Mobility SAP SE.

Alongside storage technologies, a digitally optimized charging infrastructure is the decisive success factor for sustainable electromobility.
