Rise Europe, a European network of leading start-up ecosystem builders, announced the launch of the European Scale-Up Navigator

Munich, November 30, 2023. Rise Europe, a European network of leading start-up ecosystem builders*, announced the launch of the European Scale-Up Navigator, a comprehensive guide for start-ups aspiring to become Europe's next tech champions. The Navigator provides start-ups that are considering to internationalize with valuable insights, resources, and strategies to navigate the European innovation landscape and achieve sustainable global success.

Europe is home to a thriving start-up ecosystem with a wealth of talent, innovation, and untapped potential. However, European start-ups often face challenges in scaling their businesses and achieving global reach. The European Scale-Up Navigator aims to address these challenges by providing start-ups with a roadmap for success.

The Navigator comprises a report on insights into the European innovation landscape, including the specific characteristics of each country. It identifies different funding opportunities and potentials for industry collaborations in the respective markets and outlines important regulatory and legal frameworks. Additionally, it provides guidance on the most important questions start-ups wishing to expand face: when, where and how to internationalize. Lastly, for each of the 14 member countries of Rise Europe, a detailed overview of local support systems is provided including the direct contacts of the Rise Europe ecosystem builders.

“I am convinced that Europe has the potential to grow the next generation of tech start-up champions. Our focus is to give start-ups an environment in which they can thrive - and build up one united European ecosystem in which start-ups, corporates, investors, universities, and governments work hand in hand. We want start-ups to enter this guide with a curious mind, explore Europe’s most dynamic entrepreneurship hubs, and connect with innovation drivers that are ready to jump into their mission,” says Stefan Drüssler, COO of UnternehmerTUM and co-initiator of the Rise Europe Network.

Since May 2023, 20 innovation drivers of Europe’s most dynamic entrepreneurship hubs have joined forces within the Rise Europe network. United in the commitment to combine their strengths to jointly accelerate start-up teams, they want to contribute to European technological sovereignty. The ambition is to match the innovativeness of countries like USA and China by helping European start-ups to scale and become sustainable global market leaders. The initiative therefore combines the individual local ecosystems into one, aiming to contribute to faster and better solutions to major societal challenges.
