This training course teaches essential and strictly practical expertise and methods for developing innovative, user-centred products and services. The objective is to strengthen your ability to identify and evaluate business opportunities, to design innovative solutions, and to develop the business models which are a prior condition for your commercial success. The concepts, methods and processes on which the business-design approach is based can be experienced directly in this course and applied practically.
Business design is the holistic identification, development and realisation of sustainable future business through well-tried principles and methods drawn from design and strategic management.
Business design will help you to work on the challenges of your innovation in a structured way. This includes a comprehensive understanding of market requirements and customer needs, time and cost effective implementation, handling complexity, risks and uncertainties, and releasing creativity.
Participants in this practical training will become active themselves and experiment with the methods and tools of business design, such as customer journey and persona, business-model canvas, hypothesis canvas, and minimum viable product.
In the practice stages small groups of participants will be supervised and coached intensively by experienced speakers and coaches. Through managed self-reflection, what has been learned will be transferred into entrepreneurial practice.
The new Prototype Workshop at the Entrepreneurship Center offers members a 1,500 square metre high-tech infrastructure, consisting of machinery, tools and software, for prototype construction and small-batch serial production.
One of the prototyping sessions during this training course will be held in the high-tech workshop. On one of the course days you will also have an opportunity to take part in a guided tour of the premises.
