We are proud to announce that our COO Stefan Drüssler has been appointed as a member of the newly constituted EIC - European Innovation Council Board — Europe’s flagship body guiding breakthrough innovation, deep-tech scale-ups and technological sovereignty.
With 15 of the 21 seats newly filled, this renewal comes at a pivotal moment as Europe prepares its next Multiannual Financial Framework and strengthens the EIC’s role as the key mechanism to support high-risk, high-impact innovation. The Board provides strategic, independent advice to the European Commission, ensuring that the voice of the innovator remains central to Europe’s future.
For UnternehmerTUM, this appointment is a strong signal: our ecosystem in Munich is increasingly recognised as a key pace-setter for Europe’s innovation landscape.
The new Board will help shape the next phase of the EIC, which already plays a pivotal role in scaling breakthrough technologies across Europe — from quantum and AI to biotech, clean energy, advanced materials, and more.
